ME Racing has moved!
Me Racing is heading into 2025 with a new car in a new class.
We gave it a good run with the 525 that we were gifted by our friend Dave. We should have pulled the roll cage first instead of last. That would have saved us the first season's worth of time and budget. Instead we spent the second season recouping as much as we could and having Massimo's Cali built time trial Mini Cooper blow up before it even got on track. By season's end we had moved on to the next car that we hope won't be as much of a project. Our '93 325 coupe has had a long life as a race car. It was built in 2001 which is a little before I did my first track day. We got log books going all the way back but nothing else like how many motors have been in the car.
The 325 has a relatively recent race tech pass so the refurbishing we anticipate is a new fuel cell, splitter and tune. We'll clean up the motor and suspension. We got a brand new wing saved from the 525 and I'll be building a new splitter. Actually I'll be cutting at least two splitters to start the season. I think the rain tires will be good for a weekend. Slicks, we'll need a few new ones and a set of wheels too.
See you in March!
