Massimo and I started ME Racing to create a team for both of us to have fun with. Reparto Corse was created in 2003 as my online bike shop and web presence for my custom bicycle fitting business. In time the shop transitioned to custom fitting work for friends and friends of friends.

 

When I was a little kid I dreamed of racing. My family went to the Indy 500 in 1969 and when Mario Andretti won it meant something to us as an Italian-American family. A few years later the only way to learn about Formula 1 was in the pages of Road & Track and when Mario won the championship it meant something to me with him being our second American F1 champion.

When I got the chance to race and achieve my goal of doing well at our national championships I was already giving back by instructing. My son, Massimo, didn't have a chance but to get sucked into racing with me. He's been coming to the track since he was about the same age as when I began dreaming about racing. There's not much better than getting to race and give back to the sport together.
